Marjorie, this week's blog is so rich, almost five for the "price" of one! :) What a brilliant photo Keith put together of the expansive bridge across that great divide!
The Wibbletonians, Eric Liddell, and you - all part of the "great a cloud of witnesses" - beckon us to "lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and [let us] run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." (Heb 12:1-4) Thank you for the encouragement! Carolyn

“I believe God made me for a purpose. He also made me fast! And when I run I feel His pleasure.”

Actually Eric Liddell never said that. That line was written by the writer of Chariots of Fire, Colin Welland.

Christian Mother Goose. My daughter so loved your books as a child and now we both read them to my two beautiful grandsons. Your books are a cornerstone for teaching them. We talk about the lessons learned all the time. Ellyn

Hello Mrs. Decker, Chariots of Fire is one of my favorite movies. Mr. Liddell stuck to his principles and still was victorious. What a testimony! I always look forward to your unique perspective. Timothy.
