Recently, I attempted to purchase one of your inspiring books, “The Christian Mother Goose Book of Nursery Rhymes,” for a baptismal gift. I was informed it had been discontinued and was no longer in print by a sales clerk at Barnes & Noble. I was surprised and asked the young lady to please check again only to hear her say she was sorry and asked if she could look up another book for me. Not one to take sorry/no for an answer, I went home and searched the web only to find that indeed there were no longer new Christian Mother Goose Books to be had.
I became familiar with your work back in 1981, when I became a proud, first time mother, of a healthy, beautiful baby girl named Amy. Upon Amy’s birth I was in search of a book(s) that was geared to the young while teaching Christian values. I was blessed to have found you, Christian Mother Goose! I read to Amy every night with her always wanting more of your rhymes. Then three years later Amy welcomed home a sister, Megan, who also shared the love of your magical books. I believe I was your best private client/customer. I gave them out to everyone I knew and they loved the book(s) as well!
Now my girls and their friends are grown. They too are starting to have babies and I wanted to pass along the love and spirit that your books bring.
Ms. Marjorie, our children and the world are in need of your voice. As a society, we have lost what is truly important…God, faith, hope, trust, love and family. These components should be a part of our core foundation. A foundation which creates “what” we are and “who” we will become.
Thank you for leaving your footprints in the hearts of many and know that you have helped build strong and solid foundations through your words within your books!
