I love your blog. I am so glad you are still publishing, and writing. I just fininshed talking to your son on the phone in Tulsa. I was attempting to order the Rock-a-Bye Bible and audio cassettes online when I decided just to pick up the phone to make it easier.
These rhymes have SO blessed and helped my kids with language and knowledge growing up, that I now want to order them for my granddaughter - Lily.
He is digging through the archives for me. I was exited to learn that you are enriched in history. I hope to learn more about that as well.
Thank you. You have brought meaning to our lives all these years and now I learn it's just the "tip of the iceburg" of the treasures you possess!

Sometimes great opportunity is right before our eyes and we complain because it is simply unfamiliar to us. We are often slow to change or reject it altogether. It takes us out of our comfort zone. But how can progress or personal growth be accomplished without testing the limits of our comfort zone. Interesting observation of the crows. Thanks for sharing it.

Timothy, I thought you were going to say the Super Bowl would certainly pale in comparison to the Crow Bowl! But you have trumped that with the truth and reality of the incomprehensible awe of our Lord's return!

Dear CMG - you've heard that I LOVE those apparently silly but actually very clever crows! They are such a hoot! In college, my roommate and I used to time our late afternoon tea break by them and it was always precise / exact! One or two would fly over our little apartment complex into the inner courtyard at 4:55 PM on the dot each day. They called to their friends who all arrived by 5:00 sharp. After a little hobnobbing, without fail, the social clutch went calling and singing as they flew over the buildings into the garden on the other side at 5:05 for their own high tea. My apartment mate always waited for me to come get her to make tea according to the crow alarm. I've tried to catch on to the crow language but have only enticed their suspicious response once or twice. Guess I don’t have the accent down very well. ;)

Ravens are beautiful and the LORD does use them (as all His creatures) for special good but crows are fun, social, supportive, intelligent, collaborative, unmistakably “feeling” for one another, and a great example in their timeliness! :) As to your comments regarding indecisiveness, they are, as always, wise, encouraging, and useful for all of us!

Clever photos by Keith!

Mrs. Decker, it sounds like you have quite the wildlife sanctuary where you are. It must be very peaceful and relaxing to live among God's creatures. With regards to the super bowl, I am sure that football's annual spectacle will pale in comparison to Jesus' return someday. Timothy.
